Treaty of waitangi

Te Reo, Term 4 2016.

This term we have been learning all about the Marae. We have learned that…….

  • The Marae is an important focal point for the community.
  • The Marea is a place where tradition and customs can be carried out.
  • The Marae is a place where people can express their values with dignity.
  • There are many kawa ( protocols) that prevail on the marae.
  • Marae kawa (protocols) can differ between maraes and iwi.


We have focussed on some key concepts when doing this learning.
These are listed and explained in the table below.

read any fraction order fraction with the same denominator count forwards/backwards in 1/1 1/2 1/3 1/4 1/5 and 1/10

I found this task really easy no problems at all because it was year 5 math




it was fun to do but it was to easy because it was year 6 math


this one was a bit harder to do because it was year 7 math

The area of CARE that I need to try harder in C / A / R / E

To achieve my BRONZE/SILVER award quicker I need to make good choices on where I sit When I do my work

The one thing that I can do to improve my progress in CARE is make better choices

I can read and interpret a range of graphs


For maths I have been learning to read and interpret a range of graphs. This relates to the National Standards as it meets the criteria of:
  • I can identify patterns and trends in context, within and between data sets (Year ⅚ standard)

My next step is to use these in my leadership investigation next term.

To improve my striking of a ball I need to run were the ball is going
because i need to inprove on my catching

To Improve my catching and fielding I need to am better because i might hit someone


The game that I enjoyed the most was the smacking because it was fun
